It was a phrase Kaa and I had not heard from Khan in a long time... Shere Khan was obviously in his best of moods because of Mahadeva. Infact, he spoke to the two of us for some time about her.
Though Kaa and I were the closest to Khan in terms of friendship, we hadn't had this much time to talk since we had all been cubs many rains ago... Normally he would greet us with the occasional snarl or threat to remind us of who was king. This new Khan was both refreshing yet odd at the same time.
